Team Delta Wins again at the 4th National
Youth games. This was after a promise by the Chairman of Delta Sport commission,
Tony Okowa that they would win again for the 4th time.
At the National Youth gamed held this year I Ilorin,
Tea Delta left with 27 Gold medals, 24 Silver medals and 16 Bronze medals. This
sums a total of 67 Medals.
Team Delta was also the winner of the National Youth
Game which held in 2017. The same team also won the past two editions before
the 2018 ad 2017 editions, i.e. 2016 and 2015 editions.
According to Tony Okowa, the team
derives inspiration from the great facilities provided to them at the Stephen
Keshi Stadium, Asaba.
Also
at the 2018 National Youth Game was the Lagos team taking the second position
after Delta. They made a total of 60 Medals. This consists of 23 Gold Medal, 15
Silver medals and 22 Bronze Medals.
Coming at the third position is also the
Team Bayelsa with a total of 34 Medals.
Participants of the 2018 National Youth
Games are a total of 33 states of the federation.
